antara pengecut dan penakut...
kehidupan dan dunia ini penuh dengan pengecut. aku hairan, kenapa, ya? memang sikap takut harus ada dalam diri kita, dan takut itu adalah normal.
kenapa mengaku berani tapi tak nak tampilkan diri bila berdepan dengan masalah ataupun isu isu kontroversi.
aku takut dengan ALLAH swt. tapi, aku rasa aku bukan pengecut. segala tindakan dan perbuatan aku hanya akan disoal di kemudian hari. bukan hak orang lain menyoal. itu antara aku dan ALLAH swt. aku akan menjawabnya kemudian hari. aku bukannya riak. amal ibadah aku pon masih banyak lagi ketinggalan. tapi aku buat, aku makan, aku kata, akulah tanggung, bukan mak aku, bukan adik aku, dan yang penting, bukan kau. mungkin suatu hari, suami aku yang kena tanggung apa yang aku buat.
aku rasa, buat masa sekarang nie, kalau aku buat sesuatu, aku tak takut nak tampil kehadapan. aku bukan pengecut. aku tak buat sesuatu, lepas tu, lepas tangan. apa pon aku buat, atau aku pergi, aku tak tinggalkan tapak kaki ajer, tapi aku berani tunjukkan muka, tak pon, aku tinggalkan nama.
kepada semua, gong xi fa cai, dan selamat tahun baru hijrah. semoga dengan kedatangan tahun baru nie, kita dah tak lagi jadi pengecut.

the birthday gerl and me taken in xmas when she came to KL....
a nite walk out...
liza suggested that we should go for a walk after dinner just to get started for the mood for us to exercise. hehehe.... the four of us got ready and off we went for one whole round of pantai hillpark. and just after 3 minutes of walking, we saw a bag hanging from a tree. and the bag still looked new, cept that the strap was being cut off. we suspected that the bag was a victim of snatch-theft. but, i was more than glad to bring the bag home. well, i was looking for a nice document bag tho. hehhee...
we decided to end the walk with a chit chat session by the poolside. but we ended up getting wet. sofia decided to be in the pool instead, and both liza and i followed. hehhee.. i cant resist the pool, u see. hehhee... we decided to go for a real swim later tonite after liza and zuraida get back home from class.
after cleaning ourselves up, i took the bag, and tried to figure out how to take out the strap so that it will look as good as new. it took me a while to remove the buckle, after using penknife and scissors which both werent much of a help. to cover up the metal piece on the bag, i took out my whole range of brooches. and only one looked perfect on the bag.....
and taaaddaaaa....... here's my new bag....

at first, when i checked how much i've used for my mobile expenses for my first 3 months here, i was kinda shock. it was a whooping RM405. to me, that's bloody a lot, sia... it equates to abt RM135 per month. hhmm... i blamed it on the frequent sms to spore.... hehhehe....
but then.......
just now, i was at Prima Deli to collect the birthday cake for alan when i received an sms from DiGi

betul ker nie...?? only then i remember that DiGi has this reload bonus thing every quarterly. and if u reload at least RM350 for that quarter, u are entitled for 10% of your total reload value ah.
so, when i checked out the DiGi site just now to check my balance, it states : -

the only set back abt this whole thing here, is that, the validity of the reload value isnt like the one in spore. in spore, every time u top up your prepaid number, it will valid to abt 6 mths from the date of topping up. but here in msia, for every RM10 reload, it will only last for abt a week ajer...bacin kan??? asking us to reload even more... hhmm.... but then again, oh wells......
i just happy that i got the bonus of RM40.50.... yiipppeeeee
weekend retreat....
us, at 2.30 in the morning, having maggi goreng and limau ais at pantai dalam.... (check out those eye bags!!!!)
this is what happened when the other two went shopping at sungei wang, me and kish were just straying awak from the crowds and found this booth at parkson giving a free demo for a coloured hair gel.. hehhee... and i got streaks!!! hehehe
the weekend was a blessed, i can say. it was just like when we were in brisbane. cam deja vu pon ada.... cept for the cooking part lah... hehheaea... i dont really cook here in kl, u see.. heahehaa... but i did manage to make cheesecake for the gerls, just the way kish like it.... but well, after abt more than 2 years, the cheese mixture didnt really turn out the way it shld be. too watery... and i reckon, it just lack of gelatin... hehhe.... can try again, soon, i hope... hehhe..
hope to see the gerls soon, and maybe we can include tasha, yus, syida - well, maybe a bigger group next time....
yet another reunion.....
well, cant wait for tonite tho. will be fetching sheda and lin at pudu at 1 in the morning. they'll be here for the weekend just for a mini kelvin grove reunion. hehhe.... and the best thing of all, nackish will be joining us too... she'll come straight after work in cyberjaya all the way to pantai hillpark, and she too will be staying over at my place for the weekend. how great is that?? hehehe
i simply cant wait for it. its been 2 yrs since i last saw nackish. the last time being over at our old place in toowong, brisbane. how i miss the place, and how i miss her. lots of stuffs happened, but... oh well.... i just cldnt wait...

well, as you all know, chinese new year is approaching and it falls on a sunday and monday. and over here in kl, we will be having the whole week off - sunday and monday being CNY, then tuesday being awal muharram, and wednesday being the federal day, and thursday being the pay back public holiday.
and, initially and technically, i am suppose to come back to work on friday, BUT alan just told me, "i wont be around on that friday, and you dont have to come in too if you dont want too and want to spend more time in spore!!!" muahhahahhaha...... and the best part is that.... i dont have to take leave for that. best kan?? hehhehe...
b, too bad for u, i'm gonna be home longer this time. even longer than hari raya.... neh neh neh neh... hehhe...
i'm just in the mood to be jolly... hehhe... even tho the throat hurts badly and i am now sounding like i dunno what also..... and i cant smell anything much since yesterday. and the phlegm is ... bleargh..... but... i'm still happy.... especially after the meeting and even tho it'll be very hectic before the end of the month... it's all good. alhamdulillah.....

got myself a replacement laptop after the old one's display decided to just go blank. managed to persuade razak to collect it for as his office is just a street away from the service centre. thanks beb...u are the best, man!! hehehe
hisham fetched me from novena last night. and till now, i still cant believe it that i actually met up with him after 10 long years. i still remember the last meeting we had - december 1995. it still fresh in my mind tho. everything abt the whole thing with me and him and what happened. it was hard to forgive at first for all the things he did, but life goes on, i reckon. we were still young back then. we dont know what we wanted.
was really glad that he 'found' me again through friendster. and since then, we've been chatting on msn regularly. and yesterday, both of us happened to be in the same place and decided that we meet up. talked abt lots of things, and it was all good. *smiles*

the sun has been up since i reached on wed. but what a pity that i have to spend in indoors, in the office. if only i'm at home, the laundry will be done, i'll surely have gone for a dip in the pool, or at least, just enjoy the sunlight.
it has been raining in spore when i was there last wkend. it even rained during eid. it was a wet wet wet situation. but it was all good. the rain did not dampen our moods.
did a lot of stuffs over the wkend. met lots of friends for dinner, or just to chill at coffee beans. met up with the good friends over at causeway pt. dayah has a new look to begin the new year and as someone's wife like zuraina quoted. hehee... dah besar kawan aku sorang nie. heahhea... zuraina is getting bigger too. last sat, her gynae said that the baby is 1.1kg (if i heard correctly!!) and she has definitely put on lots of weight. *what do u expect, gerl?? u are pregnant, remember??* hehehe....
met up with a friend i knew from the net when i was in brisbane. been a while since i last saw that friend of mine. it was great to meet up again, and boy, we did lots of catching up, even tho we 'met' almost every other day on msn. but, last monday, we did have some time to ourselves together. it was a blessed meeting, i can say. *thank you my friend for being whoever u are. and for being there, even tho its not physically, whenever i need u. i may be far away from u, but u know i'm always there whenever u need me.*

GOODBYE 2005, WELCOME 2006
hope it isnt late to wish everyone a happy new year. the pc at home was down, hence the delay in updating.
i spent the last day of 2005, going to a podcast recording at esplanade with a wonderful couple - azlin and rudy. straight after that, i went to yai's place as there was a mini bbq with the aunties. hehhee... and at 7, i was already at ang mo kio mrt with riswandy and noorliza heading to serangoon cc to attend ariff's & aida 's wedding dinner. both were our schoolmates from beatty sec sch. and they have been together, or at least ariff has been chasing for aida, (hehehe... jgn marah, ariff!!! *winks*) for as long as i could remember. it was a beautiful wedding. perfect. no glitches at all. it was sweet of ariff to sing that nite even tho it was expected of him to do just that. he just loved singing and performing in front of crowds. i cant helped to say again, but the wedding was beautiful.
congrats ariff and aida, may both of u have a beautiful marriage life together just like the beautiful wedding that u had. both of u look gorgeous that night.
straight after the dinner, i went out to meet my sister, as she drag me to the dreadful countdown at esplanade. i told myself many years back not to go to a mass countdown party in any part of the country, but oh well.... just for the sake of my lil sister, i had to go to one. i got no choice, since she is still to young to go to a club. she actually wanted to go to the foam party kat sentosa, can u believe that?? isk.... i felt like a mother hen with two 15yr olds and a 10yr old gerls, sia. heaheha.... bawak anak2 abu keluar. hehhee...
adik, when u are older, pls lah.... try to avoid all the street parties. too many ppl... pening akak... jgn buat lagi eh.... kakak dah malas nak pergi tempat2 nie semua...
last year was the first that we did not really celebrate bapak's bday on the day itself, since i had a wedding to go, and we actually settle to have a late lunch / early dinner at sofra turkish restaurant, on sunday at ard 5. thanks to abg as for paying. hehhee... the food was okies, i reckon, but i still prefer the old turkish kitchen they had at millenia walk and rendezvous hotel. the servings were also big and most importantly it was yummy... and value for money.. sofra need to do a lot especially for customer service.
so... here's the new year... i had questions coming up to me asking what is the most significant thing that 2005 had for me. at first, i cldnt asking that. the significant things that happened in 2005 were that my gerlfrens got married and left me being single alone!!! arrrgghhh... hehhehe....
then when i think back, 2005 was a year of unions and reunions. it was definitely the unions of lots of my friends. and reunions of me and lots of other friends. in may, i was reunited with all of my secondary school friends from the normal stream. i meet up with another group of the express stream students during azlin's wedding in april and the very recent one, at ariff's wedding. met up with my primary school mates from westlake primary, like ishmann, nasir, sabrina, nurhasrina, and bump into mazlina once at a wedding. met up with the guys from my past. and through friendster, there's a couple of friends that 'found' me again after so long.
so, 2005 was definitely a reunion year for me. i had fun and learnt alot from the journey. now that, i've met most of my friends from my past, i wld still want to meet those that i didnt meet. and i want to meet up with new friends, definitely.
and my wish for 2006, i hope i'll be a better muslimah, i'll find solace within myself, i'll be a better person especially to ppl ard me. insya-allah.
to all of us, hope that this new year, we learnt from our mistakes in the past and try not to dwell on them, we have to move on and continue with life. hope that 2006 will be a great year for all of us, insya-allah..
